Three Generations Working in Dentistry
For three generations, the Cox family has served the dental profession and patients, beginning with Dr. Lawrence Cox, a practicing clinician in Adrian, Michigan, in the early 1900s.
Dr. Charles F. Cox, the youngest of three sons, developed a passion for dental research and dental materials. Over a 40 year career, he studied, taught, and conducted research at leading universities such as The University of Michigan, University of North Carolina, University of Alabama at Birmingham and University of California at Los Angeles; conducted numerous studies and research projects.
Phoenix Dental emerged to manufacture products and bring them to market. Jeffrey Cox, President and CEO of Phoenix Dental, has developed a high quality manufacturing process and a worldwide distribution network.
Phoenix Dental History
For over 12 years, Phoenix Dental, Inc. has established a tradition of Quality, Service, and Innovation for all the products it manufactures for the dental industry. In 1998, Phoenix Dental incorporated with only five employees. A year later, Phoenix Dental attended its first major dental trade show, the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting. Soon, Phoenix Dental had its first U.S. and international dental dealers. Marketing Super Seal®, a desensitizer and liner, which it designed, manufactures, and distributes, Phoenix Dental continues to provide customers with quality products the dental industry has come to expect. Super Seal® became the product that other desensitizers began comparing themselves with, and word spread throughout the professional dental market that a new oxalate desensitizer was on the market.
In 2002, Phoenix Dental received the CE mark for conformity to the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC which allowed it to sell Super Seal® in the European Community. In the same year, Phoenix Dental had a distribution arrangement with its first multi-national distributor. Super Seal® was now sold all over the world.
In 2008, Phoenix Dental became ISO 13485, CMDR and JPAL certified for its quality system. Major U.S. distributors also began to carry Super Seal.
Our Customer Service provides direct customer interaction which streamlines technical assistance, as well as suggestions for properly using our products to obtain optimal performance. The research staff is continuously striving to provide the customer with the most robust, economical and effective products available. Through our worldwide dealer network, Phoenix Dental remains committed to provide the highest quality products and service available.
